Free trade with Mercosur countries on the horizon

The partnership agreement and an interim trade agreement between the EU and the Mercosur countries pave the way for one of the world's largest free trade areas, with over 700 million inhabitants. Why is this so important for us? 

Machinery and equipment are among the most important goods exported by the EU to Mercorsor – hence our interest as a manufacturer of mechanical and specialized plant engineering. We see concrete advantages for Topas in the abolition of customs duties, greater legal certainty in our business activities, and easier access to public tenders. We have been working with customers from industry as well as universities and research institutions in two strong Mercosor countries, Brazil and Argentina, for many years. South American filter and filter media manufacturers have been relying on Topas technologies for years for their customers in the automotive, clean room, aviation, agricultural and other sectors. We consider the signing of this free trade agreement as a particularly important positive signal, especially at this point in time.
