Fresh Air for fuel cells

The advantages of fuel cell as an energy transformer are rich, its current limitations are well known. Especially manufacturers of heavy-duty vehicles seem to focus on fuel cell mobility technology. To protect it from reactive damages and wear effects, cathode air filters are required. Today, they are part of the product range of all leading filter manufacturers and must be tested precisely for their separation performance. With the FCT 113, our first Fuel Cell Air Intake Filter Test System, molecular efficiency testing for this specific application becomes a simple task. It is a further development of our first test system, the established PAF 112 cabin air filter test sytem and enables our clients to test with various gases (O3, SO2, NO2, toluene) at a wide flow rate range of 18 to 800 m3/h. We keep a close eye on trends in the automotive sector and put years of expertise into the development of the traditional test system – a promise of quality to our customers. A first preliminary project was installed at a Chinese customer, and a second complete system for testing fuel cell filters will be installed in the US later this year. Climate-friendly mobility is (still) a challenge, but testing the necessary supply air filters with FCT 113 technology is already an easy task. Benefit from this!
