DIL 544 Dilution System
DIL 544 Dilution System for static dilution (1:100) of aerosols at static air flow rate (28,3 L/min) for mobile operation
The main application of the self-adjusting DIL 544 Aerosol Dilution System is in the verification of test aerosols for testing clean rooms.
Guideline EN ISO 14644-3 defines the necessity of appropriate dilution systems when using test aerosols for verification. According to standard VDI 2083 for testing clean rooms and work benches it is compulsory to carry out measurements with increased concentrations in the incoming aerosol.

Both DIL 544 and DIL 554 are connected directly to a cleanroom particle counter via a hose. Therefore, the sampling volume flow is generated by the cleanroom counter. Inside the dilution systems, the aerosol sample is divided into two partial volume\r\nflows. From one partial volume flow (bypass), all particles are removed using a HEPA filter. Subsequently, both volume flows are recombined, whereby the particle number concentration at the outlet of the dilution system is reduced.
